i.e.; snow day

Life Update

Yesterday was made from the stuff of dreams, because it was a *snow day*! The last snow day for UW was back in 2008! And since I actually I have Friday classes this term, I was able to enjoy it to its full capacity. 8)

To all my non-Canadian readers, I wish you all one day the joy of experience a true Canadian winter. The snow is literally up to your knees out there. :) I was going to stay in all day and enjoy all the material comforts of the indoors, but the combined powers of the emptiness of my fridge and it being the eve of Chinese New Year forced me outside for a trip to the grocery store with one of my roomies.

The rewards of the trip, however, include lots of cheap Asian snacks! :) I've been bemoaning the lack of food at home recently -- although it's not like I'm at home very often, it seems like I'm always buying Timmies on campus because I spend so much time at the Imprint office...

Yes, the snow is really beautiful to look at, and as equally ugly to walk in haha.

toe socks

Thought I'd show you all my adorable toe socks which are from Hong Kong, when I went two years ago. Actually, they're my sister's and she lent them to me months ago and I just haven't given them back. Oops~

This term has been more busy than ever, but as a friend told me, "I thrive under pressure." Essays, tests, articles, come at me!... but not really, because I like to have lots of free time also LOL.

Lastly, I'd like to greet all my readers properly for the Year of the Snake! Regardless of whether you celebrate it or not (to be honest, my family isn't overly traditional so we don't do much for it either), may the new year be full of blessings and good fortune... and whatever else it should entail haha.

Translation: wishing you all...
[龍馬精神]: "spirit of dragon and horse" -- basically means good health
[心想事成]: "may the wishes of your heart be accomplished"
[恭賀新禧]: "congratulations and new blessings"

The last one is a bit of a joking one, because I'm so blatantly asking for a red pocket... LOL. I made these 'greetings' for my relatives on facebook and thought I'd share a few.

Happy New Year, and happy weekend, everyone! :)

xo,
