Makeup Haul
To be honest, I'm a rather low-maintenance type of girl -- or at the very least, I'd like to think so! I'm not all that fussed about makeup or whatever but when it comes time to dress up, I'm not adverse to primping either ahaha. I generally keep my makeup pretty natural looking, mostly because I can't be bothered, and also because I don't feel like heavy makeup suits my 'style' very well. ;)
I follow a lot of Asia-based blogs (oh yeah, need to get on making that blogroll...), and one of the things I've always wanted to try was makeup from Asian brands! I feel like their packaging is so much cuter haha. Also, there's just more trust, for some reason, with Korean and Japanese brands. Maybe it's because they cater to Asians specifically, and also to Asian styles, which appeal to me. (:
BB cream has been on my list of things to try forever -- and of course, if I'm going to get BB cream, might as well get actual Asian BB cream, and not all the 'imitations' that the North American market is pumping out now. These are from a Japanese brand Kanebo.
Japanese brands Dolly Wink eyeliner and Majolica Majorca mascara! I've heard so many good things about them from bloggers such as Camille, Tricia, and Xiaxue. I haven't opened them yet because I still have to finish the products that I'm using now.
Various eyeliners from (L-R) Kate, Lioele, and Koji.
Mini nail polishes from SaSa -- a rather popular makeup store in Hong Kong. I think it's comparable to Sephora in North America, maybe? Like it sells a lot of other brands as well.
This is a sort of aloe vera body lotion/gel by Nature Republic that my aunts bought for me when they were in Korea. Not really makeup, nor is it from Hong Kong per se, but it was part of my 'haul' from my trip to HK, so good enough! hahaha.
Maybe my readers from the UK will know the brand Boots? I think its Canadian equivalent would be Shoppers Drug Mart. Anyway, it's also pretty big in Thailand, and my aunts happen to go on vacation there pretty often. I've been once also, and this time when they went, I asked for these hand creams because they're quite moisturizing, and they smell so good.
That's all for makeup, I guess -- but I still have to do a fashion haul! And I quite enjoyed writing this post -- should I do a post on the makeup I'm currently using that I bought here? Or perhaps a review? Let me know in the comments! :)
Have a good week, all!
